No aptitude test
At our university, students completing the Bachelor's degree programme in Conservation and Restoration are awarded a Bachelor of Science degree. When applying for a place, you do not have to present an artistic portfolio and you do not need to take an aptitude test.
New pre-study work placement regulations from the 2027/28 winter semester onwards
The regulations regarding the specialisation of the pre-study work placement, as set out in Section 2(1), second sentence, of the Admission Regulations, will apply for the first time to applications for the 2027/28 winter semester.
For applications from the 2027/28 winter semester onwards, the pre-study work placement required for the Bachelor studies in Conservation and Restoration should, as a rule, be completed and evidenced in the intended specialisation.
The following specialisations in Conservation and Restoration are offered: a) Polychrome Wooden Objects and Paintings, b) Furniture, Wooden Objects and Material Combinations, c) Archive Material, Book and Graphic and d) Stone Objects and Architectural Surfaces.
Application dates and deadline
The programme is open to first-year students each winter semester. Applications for higher semesters are also possible for the summer semester.
